Celebrating the Web We Love
Let's be honest: lately, it feels like every conversation about the internet starts with a sigh. Big Tech. Social media algorithms. AI-generated slop flooding every corner. It's easy to feel discouraged about where the web is heading.
But here's the thing: the internet is still amazing.
Beyond the noise and the platforms vying for our attention, incredible people are building beautiful, thoughtful, weird, and wonderful things every single day. Independent creators, hobbyists, developers, artists, and writers are still using the web exactly as it was meant to be used — to share, to connect, to create.
That's what oypster.org is about.
This is a collection of cool finds from across the web. Hidden gems. Personal projects. Tools that solve real problems. Writing that makes you think. Things that made me smile, or learn, or say "wow, I didn't know you could do that."
No algorithms. No engagement bait. Just genuine enthusiasm for the stuff that makes the internet worth exploring.
Because the web isn't broken — it's just waiting to be discovered again.
I'm excited to finally get this project off the ground. There's more coming soon.
Welcome aboard.
